Acoustic Based Fire Event Detection System in Underground Utility Tunnels

Underground utility tunnels (UUTs) are convenient for the integrated management of various infrastructure facilities. They ensure effective control underground facilities and reduce occupied space. However, aging UUTs require preventive measures fire safety. The fundamental problems in operating frequent occurrence mold, corrosion, damage caused to finishing materials owing inadequate waterproofing, dehumidification, ventilation facilities, which result corrosion-related electrical leakage wiring cables. To prevent this, an abnormal sound detection technology is developed this study based on acoustic sensing. An sensor used detect electric sparks moldy environments using a system collect analyze generated UUTs. We targeted that had highest impact detecting performed U-Net-based noise reduction two-dimensional convolutional neural network-based detection. A mock experiment was conducted verify performance proposed model. results indicated local spatial features could capture internal characteristics both normal sounds. superior model verified crucial
